Autumn velvet sofas, oh this subject brings joy to all interior enthusiasts up and down the country! Let’s be totally honest though, this time of year is not always welcomed by the masses… However, there are some of us out there who LOVE the coming season! Open fires, rainy days snuggled up on the sofa, long walks on crisp mornings and a beautiful velvet sofa… I really could go on! But for us at Sofas and Stuff it means trend forecasting and of course the one trend that never dies… VELVET SOFAS!
Blue Velvet Sofa
A trend we’ve seen a lot of this year has been for navy blue sofas, there’s certainly no sign of this trend going anywhere any time soon, there’s good reason for that, these shades are timeless, rich and give a wonderfully luxe feel to a space. Also some other flavours we’ve hailed as best sellers have been smoky, cobalt and peacock blue tones. Pair this look with gold accessories and some foliage and you’ve got your winter blues sorted!
Floral Prints
Floral prints are big news, you have to have been living under an enormous boulder not to know this. There are some wonderful autumnal florals out there, or perhaps something a little stronger such as some of Linwoods Omega designs. There’s been such a comeback in recent times for printed velvets the choices are endless, but to keep on point our Kentwell in Pompador Spice is just the ticket reflecting shades of the season.
Velvet Chair
A velvet chair can accent a living space beautifully. For a small corner or reading area a velvet chair can be just the ticket. An enormous trend for 2019 has been down to Pantones colour being coral. This tone can be attributed to all season and works beautifully to take us through to the colder times of the year to inject some wonderful colour into our homes. The wonderful thing about an accent chair is that should you be fearful of going all out bright on your sofa, a velvet chair is the place to do it!
