How About a Spot of Animal Print…

Animal Print interiors Sofas and Stuff

Why not let your wild side out and accent your home with spots and dots of animal print? Animal print has prowled its way into interiors after storming the fashion world; I think you would have to be living under a rock to have not noticed its impact on fashion this year. Introducing animal print into your interiors allows an injection of fierceness to your furniture and soft furnishings. The more unrealistic and vibrant colour of the animal the fabric is trying to portray, the better it seems. Imagine an orange zebra….? You may not see one in the wild but you can certainly introduce the unimaginable into your home.

There are fabric houses that get their claws into animal print more than others. A few of the fabrics featured below belong to Brunschwig & Fils, Kravet and a designer internationally known for heavy embellishment, print and vibrancy; Matthew Williamson for Osborne and Little.

Osborne and Little

Osborne and Little Serengeti fabric is the epitome of Zebra luxe. The fabric comes in natural tones as well as Exotic colours with a real lustrous look, it boldly speaks for itself. Alternatively just as impactful add some tiger stripes in a calming grey colourway with a throw like this one from zinc.

Wallpapers, Lamps, and Rugs oh my…

To create depth, we suggest having a wallpaper or other interiors including your favourite animal prints. Artist Eleanor Bowmer has created some great wallpapers and prints that can complement your animal print fabrics, check her out! The fine details also add depth and interest like this cheetah lamp with a warm mustard shade from John Lewis Home.

The Rarrrrrrr Factor

A fine example of a sofas and stuff piece looking Raaaaaarrrther good is ‘The Pink House’ Emily Murray’s take on injecting animal print into her already eclectic living room. This is our Haresfield dipped arm snuggler upholstered in blue leopard print fabric with fuschia pink piping. A real show stopper!
