Ranking the Zodiac Signs by How Design-Forward Their Homes Are 

When it comes to decorating our homes, everyone wants the place they live in to reflect who we are (or who we would like to be). When trying to achieve this, some prefer to embrace current home design trends, while others may choose to go in an entirely different direction. 

While all the zodiac signs have their own personal tastes and preferences that play into how they decorate their home, some are more focused on their home’s design than others. Check out your zodiac sign below to see how design-forward you are!

  Aquarius (January 20 to February 18)

  Aquarius doesn’t care about being design-forward because they don’t want to be like everyone else. They prefer to do things their way, or even the opposite of everyone else at times. They resent anyone telling them how to design their home a certain way because, in their opinion, there are other more important things to focus on.

  Will their home still look cool? Most likely, but in the trademark eccentric way that Aquarius signs pull off effortlessly. Will it be considered trendy or design-focused? Not so much.

  Pisces (February 19 to March 20)

  Pisces want everyone to feel welcome, but they don’t always pay a ton of attention to their physical surroundings. They prefer to set a vibe rather than a perfectly executed design strategy. So, the place will be interesting and welcoming, but maybe not be as design-forward as the other signs. Regardless, the home will be a genuine representation of who they are.

  Aries (March 21 to April 19)

  Aries love the idea of being design-forward! They get excited when they come across a new idea on Pinterest and are ready to start a new project.

  However, their enthusiasm can evaporate quickly, leaving things half done and not as planned. Or, they may come across an option that they like better and want to scrap everything to start again.

  They will likely still have a lovely home, but it may not be as well-designed as they imagined. At least they put in a good effort, though.

  Taurus (April 20 to May 20)

  Taurians are ruled by Venus in astrology, meaning they not only have a love of beauty but an eye for it as well. They feel drawn to gorgeous material things and will want their home to showcase them.

  While some may view Taurus as materialistic, their focus isn’t on trying to amass large amounts of items for no apparent reason; they only splurge on what they believe has a purpose and adds to their lifestyle. Their grounded nature also means they have a vision of exactly what they want their home to look like and won’t rest until they bring it to life!

   

• Gemini (May 21 to June 20)

  Geminis can be a wild card. They will either have an insanely stylish home or a chaotic one—no in-between. Geminis know what’s current and trendy because they keep up with what is happening. Still, they don’t always finish projects that they begin.

  They can get ahead of themselves trying to include popular concepts, yet they may not know exactly how to tie it all together. Their mind is usually on another subject, so their house may be all over the place—but that’s part of their charm.

  Cancer (June 21 to July 22)

  Cancers enjoy being in their home, and they want it to reflect who they are. They want others to feel welcome in their home, too, so they will go out of their way to make things look lovely.

  While they may not feel the same pressure to be design-forward, they will still have a look all their own that radiates warmth and comfort that their guests love. They will certainly take a page from styles that they love, but they won’t sacrifice comfort for style.

  Leo (July 23 to August 22)

  Leo signs take pride in themselves and fully believe their home is a reflection of that. No matter their situation, they will decorate their home with the nicest things they can find and make the layout as stunning as possible.

  They aren’t afraid to take popular home design suggestions and make them even better because a Leo always knows how to add their personal flair to what everyone else is doing.

  Virgo (August 23 to September 22)

  Virgos keep up with the trends (as long as they aren’t totally whacky) because they enjoy having a frame of reference to work with, as well as the ability to outdo everyone else.

  They will likely lean minimalist because it’s easy to keep structured and organized and easy to work with when incorporating something new. Regardless of what they choose for their home, it’s hard to argue with how flawless and intentional their space is.

• Libra (September 23 to October 22)

  Like Taurus, Libra is also ruled by Venus and shares a similar desire for beauty. While Taurus may focus on specific designs, Libra is apt to focus on the social element of things.

  They want to prove that they know what others find attractive and admirable and will try to create a space that everyone feels drawn to. They follow the trends and have a tastefully decorated home to impress others. Librans want to be the ones hosting events and will ensure their home is always prepared to do so.

  Scorpio (October 23 to November 21)

  Scorpios genuinely don’t care what others think of their home and don’t feel pressured to keep up with anyone else. However, they do care about making things nice for themselves. Scorpios are in touch with their wants and needs, and they want their space to inspire as well as represent them.

  Given they don’t often share much of that with others, they may not be as determined to show off what their home looks like. They may have an immaculately designed home, but will the outside world see them? Who knows.

  Sagittarius (November 22 to December 21)

  Sagittarius isn’t worried about keeping a design-forward home for themselves, given that they prefer to spend time out of it. They want the space to be a completely authentic representation of who they are and want their creativity to shine through.

  However, if they’re renting the space out on Airbnb for extra cash (and let’s be honest, they probably are), then they will make the place trendy and stunning so that others want to stay there.

  Capricorn (December 22 to January 19)

  Capricorns aren’t ones to focus on changing things up. They prefer to stick with the classics, and it works well for them. They aren’t opposed to updating their space with fresh concepts, but they aren’t willing to spend exuberant amounts of money to do so.

  They may occasionally add a pop of color or a unique focal piece, but they prefer to keep their space neutral and easy to work with. The way their home looks is important to them, but they don’t need to go over the top to prove themselves to anyone else.
